This is boy 2 at the top of the lane leading to the river during the last flood. It's back up as far as this at the moment. The boat's not there. Last time the lock keeper used it to get to and from his house, but the builders haven't finished, and they'll be starting over again and they've yet to move back in. You can see where the river should be by the line of boats in the distance.

They were laying out sandbags in Detroiwich High Street last night. It's grim in't'midlands. But we're so lucky, we're on high ground.

When it flooded last year I drove to the yard and got the lorry to rescue my wife from Droitwich - cars couldn't cope with water that deep.

I look out of the window now and here in Swindon it's hammering down, as it has been all day.

Happy weekend!

I'd get a move on or you might be in for a bloody awful trip home.

I damn nearly lost the car last year, fair pooped my pants.

There is a lot of flooding here as well. Luckily, I'm on top of the hill.
